Since 1987, the Main dans la main et solidaires charity organisation has worked to improve the daily lives of countless children in hospital and their families.
Hermès and Main dans la main et solidaires
Each week, five hundred volunteers visit forty-nine paediatric departments to play, read and share moments of joy with young patients.
In collaboration with hospital institutions in Paris and the surrounding region, the charity is committed to equipping and transforming the spaces within the children’s care departments. On the bedroom and waiting room walls, the décor is renewed to bring comfort and softness to the heart of the hospital.
Hermès has specifically chosen to support three of the charity’s projects carried out within the paediatric department of Necker Hospital. The installation of a virtual aquarium will offer children a moment of escape and calm. A large narrative fresco will brighten the walls, inviting the children to travel as much as to dream. Finally, the department will be equipped with virtual-reality headsets for an escape that brings light and a sense of elsewhere into the very heart of the hospital.
