A leap into the known!

Wherever it is held, the Saut Hermès reflects the same reality and creates the same magic. A horse canters across a surface of earth, straw and manure. He is grounded and pragmatic. He obeys the rider’s instructions, as his many hours of training have taught him to do. His actions have been practised over and over again. There have been adjustments, tweaks and some tiny improvements. What is all this for? For a jump, then another jump, and maybe a clear round.

It takes patience and hard work to come close to perfection.

Aside from the love of horses – which has always bound us to this event – practice, training, experience, attention to detail and the risk inherent in any creation are all values that echo our own at Hermès. Each one of us strives every day to pursue this dream of mastery to the best of our ability, often with a heartwarming sense of joy.

What could be better than another edition of the Saut Hermès? From 15th to 17th March, leading showjumpers from all around the world will once again take to the arena under the wooden roof of the Grand Palais Éphémère in the heart of Paris. This unique show will delight all equestrian sports enthusiasts, from newcomers to experienced riders.

This major competition takes place in a very special context this year. It will inaugurate a year dedicated to the celebration of sport, in which the GrandPalaisRmn (formerly Réunion des musées nationaux – Grand Palais) will play an active part with a dedicated programme. From 13th March to 11th August 2024, the Musée du Luxembourg is exploring the special relationship between design and sport with an exhibition entitled MATCH. Design & Sport – A Story Looking to the Future.

But this 2024 edition will also be the last to be held in the Grand Palais Éphémère. Next year, the Saut Hermès will return to where it was born in 2010: the Grand Palais, completely restored to its original splendour after four years of renovation work.

I look forward to seeing you again, and I wish the 2024 Saut Hermès every success!

The teams at GL events Equestrian Sport are extremely proud to be part of the Saut Hermès once again, and particularly for this fourteenth edition, held for the third time at the Grand Palais Éphémère in the heart of Paris.

Whether in the unique setting of the Grand Palais Éphémère or on the legendary Champ-de-Mars, the Saut Hermès is a three-day celebration of high-level sport and a love of horses.

There is no doubt that this year, as every year, participants and visitors alike will enjoy an unforgettable experience at this major international competition, which marks the start of a big year for equestrian sport.

I wish everyone a successful Saut Hermès 2024!
